B2B SALES RESEARCH / EVIDENCE & RESOURCES

What can you verify before buying B2B Sales Research?

Research is useful only when its source, limits and handoff criteria can be inspected. Compare anonymized first-party QA evidence, a clearly illustrative account sample and the methodology used to assess research quality.

What does D2 actually deliver?

D2 helps a client's Sales team research companies against an agreed ICP, investigate dated business signals, map buying functions and disclose what could not be verified. Evidence-backed account research is not a promise of buyer interest, sales meetings or signed deals.

EVIDENCE / METHOD / SCOPE

Choose the evidence relevant to your question

A real anonymized cohort, an illustrative document and a methodology article are different kinds of evidence. The labels below are explicit so they cannot be confused.

First-party anonymized QA

Anonymized B2B research pilot and QA

One distinct pilot reviewed 55 companies: 24 matched the ICP, 15 passed handoff and 9 were held for direct-contact gaps.

In one documented pilot, 15 of 55 researched companies passed its handoff criteria; these were research acceptance metrics, not sales wins.

Do not transfer the 15/55 rate to other industries, campaigns, conversion claims, or a new client brief. No client names or private contacts.

First-party anonymized QA

100-record production quality review

A separate October 2026 QA cohort: 43 records were SALES_READY; other records were held in review or gap states.

D2 documents both records that pass QA and records held back; the 100-record cohort is separate from the 55-account pilot.

Do not claim 43% conversion, outreach eligibility across all scopes, or that all 100 were delivered to a customer.

Illustrative format — not a case

Illustrative account dossier

Explore the fields for ICP, supporting evidence, buyer functions, contact gaps and next-step review.

A fictional example shows the research handoff format, not a real prospect or a guaranteed available contact.

Always identify as an illustrative sample, never a customer case study or verified live sales opportunity.

Service scope

B2B Sales Research service

ICP-led company selection, dated public signals, buyer-route research and a reviewable research handoff.

D2 researches business accounts against an approved brief; outreach and booked meetings are not included by default.

Describes service scope, not an assurance of interested buyers or booked meetings.

Service scope

Monthly account research scope and feedback

Explain the ICP brief, exclusion baseline, evidence-backed batch, QA, client feedback and what remains with Sales.

D2 can scope ongoing account research with client feedback; frequency, accepted record volume and fees require an agreed brief.

No published fixed quota or monthly price, managed outbound, guaranteed reply rate, meetings or closed revenue.

Lead quality and acceptance criteria

How D2 distinguishes ICP fit, source evidence, dated signals, buyer function, contact verification and duplicates.

Research acceptance requires explicit standards; a company name alone is not an accepted sales lead.

Method description is not independently verified proof of any individual lead or buyer.

Evidence-backed business signals

Distinguish dated observed business events from inferred commercial timing and unconfirmed purchase intent.

A verified signal creates research context but does not prove a company is buying.

Never imply the recipient's company has a signal without source-specific verification.

How D2 researches business signals

Five gates from ICP to dated observed event, relevance, buyer route and QA disposition.

A business event is research context; D2 separates what happened from inferred commercial relevance.

Do not claim the specific recipient has a verified event, budget or buying intent without company-specific evidence.

Buyer and direct business contact verification

Separate buyer function, named role, general mailbox, verified direct business email and unresolved gaps.

A buyer function or company inbox is not a verified direct contact, and an accepted research record is not send authorization.

No unverified address guesses; outbound eligibility, suppression and legal requirements require separate current checks.

How D2 reviews CRM overlap and exclusions

Entity matching, parent/subsidiary ambiguity, client-owned account rules and reviewed GAP decisions before net-new handoff.

A research brief can use approved exclusion rules; uncertain entity matches are held for review, not falsely reported as net-new.

No claim of zero duplicates, direct CRM access, client list possession, guaranteed privacy compliance or outreach authorization.

Raw B2B lists vs research

Compare a static contact list against ICP reasoning, sourced business context, buyer routes and QA.

The value difference is evidence and reviewability, not an unverified promise of more replies.

Educational product comparison only. Do not imply competitors' datasets are always inaccurate.

What drives research pricing?

Geography, ICP, evidence depth, buyer/contact validation, frequency and QA requirements change scope.

A quote depends on a confirmed brief; a public pricing guide is not a binding proposal.

No invented monthly price, fixed quota, delivery date or guaranteed commercial outcomes.

Coverage boundary

Research markets and feasibility

Separate currently supported Vietnam research from international requests subject to feasibility checks.

International research can be evaluated per brief; the site does not promise uniform global coverage.

Do not present TikTok Shop's 24-market operations as the B2B research service's country coverage.

Choose a verifiable next step

Start with your target and exclusion criteria, buyer roles, timing and Sales reality. D2 can then discuss the appropriate research depth and acceptance rules, instead of promising a fixed quota before the scope is understood.

FIRST-PARTY / ANONYMIZED RESEARCH QA

Two distinct examples of first-party research review

These are two separate research exercises. Neither cohort is an industry-wide performance average, a conversion rate or a promise about your brief.

Accounts examined in one pilot

55 / 15

55 companies researched; 24 met ICP criteria, 15 were accepted for that brief, and 9 ICP-fit records were held for direct-contact gaps.

Records reviewed in a different QA cohort

100 / 43

A separate 100-record QA review had 43 marked SALES_READY; the remaining 57 were in review or gap states. These were not 100 booked meetings.

How to evaluate one researched account

  1. 01 / ICP

Match your product, ideal buyer, geography, exclusions and current CRM before selecting a company.

  2. 02 / Evidence

Keep URLs and dates for relevant facts; distinguish observed business events from an unverified buying hypothesis.

  3. 03 / Buyer route

Map the relevant buying function and available business contact routes; record unresolved DIRECT email gaps.

  4. 04 / QA decision

Accept, hold or reject the research against the agreed brief; use the feedback to improve the next batch.

Industry relevance is not the same as an industry case study

D2's Vietnamese seller-to-target guides explain what to research for different types of sellers. They are method applications and illustrative examples, not claims that D2 has delivered a paid project for every industry.

Geography and commercial boundaries

Vietnam is the publicly supported B2B research market. Research outside Vietnam requires feasibility and contact-quality review for each brief. Our TikTok Shop coverage does not establish B2B research coverage in those countries.
