TikTok Shop Creator Eligibility in Malaysia
TikTok Shop Malaysia currently requires creators to meet account, age, follower and compliance conditions before receiving ecommerce permissions, and some product categories can have additional creator qualification requirements.
TikTok Shop Malaysia’s current creator documentation states that an applicant must meet the platform’s minimum follower and age thresholds, have no disqualifying creator-code or ecommerce-permission history, and comply with TikTok content rules. Certain product categories can also apply additional qualification criteria inside Product Marketplace.
Why this matters for recruitment
Eligibility is a gate, not a creator-quality score. A creator can be eligible but still be a poor match for a product, audience or format. Recruitment should therefore separate platform eligibility from commercial qualification.
Verification policy
D2 stores current numeric eligibility thresholds as policy snapshots with the official source and verification date. If TikTok Shop changes the rule, the snapshot and this page must be updated rather than silently carrying an old threshold forward.
