TikTok Shop Affiliate Commission in Malaysia
TikTok Shop Malaysia calculates creator affiliate commission from the buyer’s actual paid price multiplied by the applicable commission rate; the rate itself is an offer setting, not a universal Malaysia market benchmark.
Official Malaysia documentation explains that creator commission depends on the actual price paid by the buyer and the commission rate attached to the affiliate offer. Discounts and other adjustments can affect the paid-price basis, so a storefront display price should not automatically be treated as the creator payout base.
How to use commission strategically
A seller should evaluate contribution margin, product price, category competition, creator motivation, sample economics and the role of Open versus Target Collaboration. The goal is not to copy a percentage seen on another product; it is to create an offer that can be sustained when orders, coupons, refunds and content costs are considered.
What D2 does not publish here
This is a mechanics and decision page, not a Malaysia commission benchmark. A true benchmark would require a defined product sample, observation period, commission distribution and limitations. Until that dataset exists, D2 does not call one rate “normal.”
